Finally finished this oil painting. This was done on a solid
wood panel measuring 28.5' x 16.5'

New Raven Painting 18" x 18"

Just finished this new painting.  The frame was finished off with rusty metal strips found in the old Williams landfill a few weekends ago.  I don't often paint my ravens with their back to the viewer, so this one is unusual.  I need to come up with a title so I can bring it into the gallery before this Friday when we have our art walk.

UPDATE:  This painting was eventually titled "Garden Guardian" and was purchased on line by a lady I met at the Prescott Indian Market. She decided it was just what she needed!

Feather and Leather

My feather art has just returned from a special showing last month. There are currently four in the series, and one larger piece. They can be viewed on my Picasa Album Feather Art

The gift of a feather among native americans is a way of honoring the courage of the recipient.  Each piece is $350.00 and comes with a certificate of authenticity. The largest, Four Corners, is $500.00.

Prescott Indian Market

Award Winning Entry "Many Faces"

This year the Prescott Indian Market was wild and crazy - as well as very wet!  We woke  on Friday morning to monsoon rains and the rest of the weekend followed suit.  It got so wet I even took a video of the pounding rain.  Fortunately we had all our art well inside the tent and there was no real damage.  Art patrons are real troopers and made sure to come out in force and support us.  When the awards were handed out I discovered my painting entry had won third place in the two dimensional category - which included original drawings, watercolors, oils, gouache, photography, and mixed media.
